NEW ERASMUS 2021-2027

Theme of the course
During their professional education and postgraduate studies and their working life, many health care professionals (but also other professionals) nowadays plan some time abroad encouraged by their faculty management to broaden their personal and professional expertise. Others plan multi-centered cooperation/research activities, which include the home university as well as selected partners. International coordinators are the ones to support these activities and should therefore be up-to-date and familiar with the Erasmus+ to facilitate all of the before-mentioned activities,

Within the European Union, the Erasmus+ project was established to increase student and staff exchanges. The costs of these activities are EU funded and can be reimbursed to participants, if they apply for it through their international office.

Eventually different persons shy away from applying because of bureaucratic demands or other shortcomings, such as language proficiencies. The EU encourages all applicants, and especially those with a not so well-financed background or other social hindrances to apply for funding.

Health care professionals can benefit in learning new and different points of view related to one´s own study topic. Coming back, they will be able to proffer new insights and also in the long-term, society can benefit from an intereuropean/worldwide exchange, which is one of the goals of Erasmus.

They will profit in building/deepening personal capabilities (e.g. social, language, research, cooperation) and professional expertise and how to represent one’s own profession. They will also broaden their inter-cultural competencies and become global citizens.

Main objectives of the webinar and consultancies:

  • To enhance the familiarity with prerequisites to plan Erasmus funded activities.
  • To learn about different steps to be undertaken in reasonable time slots with home university and partner university for student/staff exchange or shared research/cooperation.
  • To help international coordinators in doing the specific task of facilitating staff/student exchange
  • To be given tips on how to write a successful proposal for application meeting the pre-fixed deadlines.
  • To enhance familiarity with templates/documents demanded by the European Commission and the participating agencies NAs and the EACEA.
  • To learn about personal skills to be possibly improved by using Erasmus and how these will be possibly implemented into a.o. health care professions and society, as well as in other professions, linked to the COHEHRE wide range of members and partners.
