WINTER SCHOOL

Short description
We offer a unique opportunity to meet Swiss and international students to discuss similarities and differences when collaborating interprofessionally within the health and social system. Together, students of health professions and social work participate in role-play activities, study visits, group projects and interactive lectures to learn about working together in interprofessional teams, in different health and social systems and with clients from different cultures.

Together, Swiss and international students will learn about interprofessional collaboration in the health and social sector. Future health professionals and social workers gain new competences in dealing with complex and challenging interprofessional situations and learn how to collaborate efficiently.

Target group
We welcome international future Health and Social Work Professionals from our partner institutions to join the 400 ZHAW BSc students in their third year of study in the fields of Midwifery, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Health Promotion & Prevention and Social Work.

Courses are primarily aimed at the Bachelor level, but Master level students are welcome to participate. Some practical experience is required, so participants must be at least in their second year of BSc study.

Please note that the course Creating meaningful and impactful solutions is open to students from ALL professions and not limited to health and social work. The course Occupational Therapists’ Professional Identity: Contributing to the visibility of the Profession is for occupational therapists only.

Validation
2 ECTS subject to 50-60 hours of student work. Preparatory assignment, full-time attendance during the 5 course days and successful end of week assessment are required. Participants can book one full-time course per week.
